Locums and assistants : Adding a doctor

Locums and assistants

In the old, old days when we had a locum in their consultations went on our GMS schedule and maybe (but often not) they signed the schedule when it went to HBL.
Not entirely by the book but how lot's of practices worked.
The locum function in MedCen was invented in those days and works that way.
It is more appropriate these days (esp with electronic claiming) to instead add a doctor to the doc_dat table - (Browse a table, then add a record). The question of where the income goes is determined by the Revn field and also the HBL PAYEE number and ACC number.

So the entry in the doc_dat table for Dr New Help who is work for Dr I Startedit should have Dr Startedit's Address, Town, IRD#, HBL PAYEE number, ACC #, bank name and number.
It should have the same entry in the Doc_revn field as the host doctor and Doc_active = 1.
Enter the unique information regarding Dr New Help's name, qualifications and medical council number. Give the entry a unique capital letter in the doc_code field.

In this way, Dr New Help will appear in all the doctor popups in MedCen after it is restarted, and you can determine how much revenue they have generated from the Accounting/Practitioner Billings Form.
Schedules will be generated for Dr New Help but the income derived from them will be paid to Dr I Startedit.

When Dr New Help ceases to be assosciated with the practice, leave his name in doc_dat but change his Doc_active value to 0.
