Developed in conjunction with Aoraki PHO for use in their Healthy Lifestyle clinical project, the Green Prescription in MedCen is an electronic adaptation of the manual prescription form.
The electronic Green Prescription features the following
- Self populating date of review – defaults to current date
- Self populating patient phone number – pulls home phone number from patient data
- Prints referral form with all details completed, ready for signature and faxing to the prescription facilitator

Currently the Green Prescription in MedCen only prints a populated referral form, but upon request, an additional electronic message can be generated via HealthLink for collecting non-identifiable population statistics.
